Anti-Ragging Cell

At Chandigarh Law College, Jhanjeri, an Anti-Ragging Cell has been established to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for all students. This cell is dedicated to preventing any form of harassment or bullying that may occur on campus.

The Anti-Ragging Cell is responsible for monitoring and addressing any instances of ragging that may take place within the college premises. It promotes respect and mutual understanding among students, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and secure in their academic environment.

Students can contact the Anti-Ragging Cell of CLC Jhanjeri for support and assistance if they ever feel threatened or harassed by their peers. The cell also conducts awareness programs and workshops to educate students about the negative consequences of ragging and the importance of fostering a healthy and inclusive campus community.

Anti-Ragging Cell fights against the following activities:

  • Bullying: This includes physical violence (hitting, shoving), insults, and threats designed to intimidate or humiliate new students
  • Harassment: Unwanted behavior that creates a hostile environment, including verbal abuse (name-calling, insults) and sexual harassment
  • Exploitation: Forcing new students to carry out degrading tasks or errands. This involves making them perform actions that are humiliating and demoralizing
  • Hazing: Subjecting individuals to humiliating, embarrassing, or unethical activities. These often involve public ridicule or intimidation, creating a hostile environment
